Kaye’s costumes were inspired by the characters of Zack Snyder’s Justice League, and the DC Extended Universe which was once in the process of being renamed. In the wake of James Gunn and Peter Safran becoming co-CEOs of DC Studios, complete with a new direction for the newly renamed DC Universe and its characters, many fans are petitioning for another studio to be given the rights to the Snyderverse. Netflix is the preferred choice of fans to continue Snyder’s DC vision. It’s home to Snyder Army of the Dead as well as the upcoming sci-fi action film Rebel Moon. Snyder signed a first-look contract with Netflix in July 2022, following the release of Army of the Dead the first film he has worked on in partnership with the streaming company.
Gunn Destroys the Snyderverse Movement
James Gunn has responded to the #SellTheSnyderverseToNetflix movement, labeling it the “wackiest hashtag ever.” He also revealed that he had spoken to Snyder and Netflix regarding the possibility of them acquiring the rights to the Snyderverse. “Zack hasn’t expressed any interest and seems content with what he’s been doing,” said Gunn, who also revealed that the two of them on Netflix have talked about “other things.”

With Flash Warner Bros. is bringing elements from the DCEU to the brand-new DCU. Although it is unlikely that Snyder and Netflix buying the Snyderverse rights, Discovery and DC Studios are keen on selling the rights. Snyder appears to have also stopped any possibility of DC returning, at the very least for a time. “As as I can tell, which is very little and all I’m doing is my job and I’ve never had anyone give me a call or call,” he said in November 2022, which is the same month that Gunn and Safran took over as co-heads of DC Studios. “I just wish them all the best and I hope they produce some fantastic films.
